Sorry for the long absence, but this last week we were all in Hawaii for my big sister’s wedding!! It was my first trip to the islands, and it was a whirlwind of activity leading up to the Big Day.
Anna and her now-husband Jar were married at the Cathedral of St. Andrew’s in Honolulu. The Cathedral is a national historic landmark built in the 1860s, and the stained glass is stunning.
There were plenty of pre-wedding shenanigans as we organized many of the details the night before the morning ceremony.
It was so nice to meet everyone I’ve heard so much about and spend time with my family, and it was hilarious to have people who’ve known Anna for years mix us up!
Now I’ve gained two brothers and can’t wait to add to our family with a new niece in October!
Rounding out our trip was some beach time and a powerful visit to Pearl Harbor, where we were able to pay our respects to the soldiers entombed in the USS Arizona. All in all, this trip was a once in a lifetime experience and I’m already chomping at the bit to go back for Round Two!
